Joan Vinall-Cox :: Blog :: George Siemens & Michael Wesch Discuss the Future of Education

February 01, 2008

I love the way the web provides for personal informal learning. I'm currently somewhat addicted to Twitter and harvest URLs from it:

I 'follow' George Seimen's because I'm interested in his theory of Connectivism (I think I practise it) and I saw his Twitter post (above). So I clicked on the Tiny URL and found myself here:

I've had some technical difficulties which I WILL SORT OUT because what I hear was fascinating. We are at a point, I believe, where people are beginning to see past the technology into the cultural impact. And it's signiicant that they are talking about the future of learning, not the future of education.

I highly recommend this conversation between two visionaries. -  http://connect.educause.edu/blog/gbayne/eliinconversationgeorgesi/46065
