Hi all, I'm in cohort 8. I'd like to ask why everyone decided to do this degree? My own reasons are because in 3 years time my son will be 14 and my daughter will be 16. I will then go back to full-time employment and hopefully get a well paid job. I know this sounds materialistic but I'm a lone parent and both my children (at the moment anyway) want to go to college. I want to provide whatever they need to get a good foothold in the workplace. I'm also doing this degree to prove to myself that I'm not thick. Most of my life I've been treated as a second rate citizen and I'm going to prove them all wrong! ha ha
