You'll begin a term long investigation into a social problem as part of a small group (3 or 4) of students working on the problem at the same time, posting to a community weblog. If you haven't already received your social problem and community weblog name, you will soon.

The instructions for week three will take a little time to work through. As always be patient with something new like this (some of you probably already blog, but to most of us this will be new.)

The first assignment is to go to the community weblog you been assigned to and make your first posting. Experiment with your community weblog to see how it works. Throughout the term you'll have assignments which will require posting to your community weblog but don't let that stop you from posting as you explore more information about your social problem and think through the complexities of modern day social problems.

Your weblog allows you to spend more time in depth on a social problem compared to your weekly dealings with a wide variety of problems. And, of course, this is a significant part of your grade.
