I've been a little behind these days. End of the year activities keep me slightly busy and I tend to not be able to update my journal. Tons of changes going on out there! The best thing that I've heard is the reauthorization of Title II, Part D of NCLB. This is huge! Basically, there's a bill out there to reauthorize as the "Achievement Through Technology and Innovation Act of 2007." It's focus is to improve support for disadvantages schools and students and ensuring that teachers are properly equipped and trained to do so. It focusses the funds on professional development and reform...to target 21st century technologies/learning.
