Ken Saunders just tagged me with the "seven things" meme/chain-blog thing so here's my effort.
The Rules:
- Link to your original tagger(s) and list these rules in your post.
- Share seven facts about yourself in the post.
- Tag seven people at the end of your post by leaving their names and the links to their blogs.
- Let them know they’ve been tagged.
- I just told our son to ignore the chain letter he received. Ho hum, at least this one has no threats so I'm happy to do it. And it's kind of fun.
- I spent a lot of time making knitting samples as a kid. I basically worked my way through a book my mum had and made some up too. I must have been a real Billy no mates.I soon moved on to building electronic stuff to earn my geek stripes.
- I saw Motörhead live twice at the Hammy Odey (Hamersmith Odeon) during the Bomber and Overkill tours. Pardon what did you just say?
- I ask Morrissy and The Smiths if they knew anything about my mate from Salford's student band when they played at an event I was being a roadie at before they made it really big. He was amazingly polite but I still groan at the thought.
- My schoolmate's dad was an architect who worked with Richard Rogers and the hi tech set.Their copy of the Whole Earth Catalog probably influenced my open source leanings and Archigram's plug-in city was an interesting modular architecture but not a good way to treat people. We got a fun job clearing out lots of Hong Kong Shanghai Bank models from Norman Foster's offices one weekend.
- I had some 200 cacti and succulents in a 6ft greenhouse. I plan to build up a good collection again one day as I'm fascinated by these amazingly well adapted and attractive plants. There are some impressive examples of convergent evolution between cacti and Euphorbias.
- I have sleep apnoea (sleep disorder) and find CPAP helps control it. I was lucky enough to get CPAP from the helpful Clinical Measurements team at Exeter NHS several years before the recent acceptance by NICE (presumably as they are worried about road traffic accidents). My wife keeps telling me to lose weight and she is no dount correct; trouble is comfort eating for energy is hard to resist when very tired.
And here's my seven to pass it on to, in no particular order. Hopefully none of you've already been tagged; I checked and many I wanted to find out about have already been tagged.
From that lot it seems with the exception of Terry it seems I have a pretty much 1-track mind. Keywords: me, Seven things
