From my parents, I have:

Severe oligodontia, leaving me with 4 molars, 2 incisors, 12 canines, a wasted youth spent at the dental hospital and my pictures in medical textbooks

Strange hair, which I suspect is the same gene as the tooth thing

An occasional unexpected and irritating popping of my ears which may or may not lead, one day, to serious ear problems and an inability to fly anywhere

a potential inherited predisposition to Schizophrenia, Depression and Alcoholism that's not really shown itself so we can probably rule it out by now.

Freckles

A weight that just won't increase

My brother has inherited more or less the same, but minus the teeth and plus severe back problems, aggrevated by getting drunk as a student one night and falling off an electricity sub-station.

I was having a drunken conversation with Nine last night, about my parents who totally rock. Since I've left home, I've managed to learn more about their past, but in a series of unrelated stories. On top of what I've heard from relatives, I need to write everything down so that I can piece it all together and find out who they really are.

And I'd like to use this blog to do that - more writing for me, but hopefully along the way I'll discover some useful info for the testers of Elgg! I'll try to see what is really needed, blog wise, the little things, that will hopefully help in making Elgg a seriously good blog-writing piece of software.

I honestly think that Elgg has a chance of filling a gap between the likes of LJ and "serious" blog software.

probably in the good ideas section rather than urgently requiring attention. I was just playing with inputting my career details, and I can understand why the "main skills" is a list seperated by commas - for ease of searching, I'm guessing :) - but whereas this works really well for computer-related careers, where you can just list your skills quite bluntly, in my field it's a little more difficult - not sure yet as to what you could offer alternatively, or whether I just need to re-phrase my skills! Probably the latter :)

Chances are, you know all this already.

1. moving files into folders. I might just be missing something here..
2. The probably not-important but near-obligatory "More..." to cut a blog article
3. I like this, a lot - as far as hosted blogging goes, this is looking really, really good. Dead easy functionality, professional look, the works. Being able to stick a CV in there too just tops it off really - round of applause from me, and one day when I understand CSS I'd like to make a template.
4. Oh! And links to non-Elgg sites
