Now I have just been looking at some blogs, CMS etc. and noticing some of the small banners W3C-compliant, Web 2.0 Compliant
Or similar banners such as for Bloglines, I power X, Powered by X etc.
I have been inspired by what Søren Mørk Petersen, who is one of the presenters for our "Social Software and Web 2.0" seminar, asks in his abstract:
"Are blogs the savior of modern democracy or are they the biggest attempt till date to flatten our culture with superstitious narcissistic babblings? Are moblogs and videoblogs the liberation of consumers in a process of making them into content producers or are we witnessing an overflow of reality TV addicts gone crazy in exposing themselves online?"
I think this is a very well thought out provocation and dichotomy (and I am really looking forward to hearing the presentation). If the latter trend will actually be dominant, I at least have prepared everyone for it already now (see below)!
So without further ado, I hereby present what could be an upcoming trend and standard . I have simply invented a new web standard, which I dub "Thomas Ryberg Compliant" (I aim at making this a sort of official ISO-something standard). I guess, I'm just thinking that no blog, CMS, webpage or webservice (whatever web X number) will ever really succeed or be that great without mentioning ME or having a picture of ME somewhere on their page (Yes, I believe, I am that important!).
So, to be part of this latest trend (which I think will make your service, blog or whatever even more great) I hereby give you the chance to make your service, blog or whatever "Thomas Ryberg Compliant" - you can mention me or just put a picture of me somewhere on your site and in return, you can put this "Thomas Ryberg Compliant" banner on your web-page.
Needless to say - it is a free service (so far!!!). You are very welcome to apply for a certification by sending me a mail or comment stating where you have mentioned me, or where you have put in my picture. In return you can place the banner ANYWHERE on your own blog, service or whatever. It is a 100 banner certification - so you can place 100 banners for just mentioning me once or putting in my picture once. One more picture or other "mentioning" grants an additional 100 banners license!
So why not become trendy already today! Become "Thomas Ryberg Compliant" before everyone else!
