Well, the sort of long title captures some of my interest - I'm a researcher and PhD student from Aalborg University, where I am physically located in e-Learning Lab. My interests are within youth culture, technology and learning and this is also the topic of my dissertation. I'm connected to a research project called Power Users of Technology that aims at researching into how the intensified use of technology among youth can change and transform learning.

In relation to this project I participated in a research symposium where young people were brought to Costa Rica to work with open ended problems and using technology in their problem solving processes. Here I followed 8 young people from Denmark while they worked with their problem and observed (and video recorded) how they accomplished and managed this complex task. These data I am currently analysing, ordering and trying to understand more about learning processes, technology and creativity.

In my files area there are some general articles on this, though they do not yet include the actual data - they are more sort of preliminary thoughts on the issues of youth, technology and learning.

I hope to keep this blog update with interesting stuff about research on youth and technology, but also online learning in general - I have a great interest in online learning and pedagogy and have been working a lot with Moodle environments - especially in the VO@NET project, where we have experimented with online courses in Thailand and Malaysia. This work has also resulted on some articles, that can also be found in the file area.

Apart from that - I have put some different stuff about myself on my homepage at e-Learning Lab

Cheers,
