Here's my attempt at an overview of the main points made so far. Thanks everyone for engaging so fully with the discussion and for raising such excellent points. I think it's been really gratifying to find that you're all so ready and able to acknowledge the ambiguities in what we mean by interactivity, whilst still seeking to arrive at a useful definition.

Which all makes it v. difficult to summarise the discussion - it's been such a wide ranging and complex one. I thought a map of the ideas would help to delineate the main points made. Now, to be truly interactive, this map would need to allow you to add your own branches and move things around. For example, I've just realised that I've not included the points made about Web 2.0 technologies. I wonder if anyone's had a stab at making a Web 2.0 version of mindmapping software - one that would work like a wiki in allowing anyone to alter it - we could call it a miki : )

Anyway, I'd be really interested in any comments on this map - does it make sense to you and accord with your perception of the debate so far? Have I missed things out or put them in the wrong place? Would you add anything or take anything away...?
