We are pleased to announce the launch of a new service. We can now provide hosting for your own installation of Elgg.
If you don't have your own server space or are not sure how to set up your own installation this is a great opportunity to create an installation and experiment with Elgg!
Each account will come with a domain name:
http://yourname.elgg.net
and will have one gig of server space free.

As part of our on going improvements we have introduced a series of new themes.
(Note: Themes is the new term for templates, we have also renamed groups, 'access groups' as this is a more accurate description)
These new themes have been released by various designers under the GPL license. We are grateful for their considerable efforts. Here is a list of the new templates:
wuhan
Gespaa
Pool
Blix
Gentle Calm
Retrospotive
Yellesh
Steam
All original designers have been credited within the CCS file or at the bottom of the page if you wish to see more of their work.
We have also re-designed the Elgg.net website. A table free version will be release shortly.
