We were back channeling in Skype. Good for troubleshooting problem issues happening by login and download of Java and Quicktime for people before they finally experienced a smooth connection, in most cases. We were 9 people in the live classroom, and I had invited a surprise guest: Anker Rasmussen, an innovative teacher in multimedia and more, who immigrated to Sydney some months ago, now looking for work. Somehow this session turned from being just a trial and eror troubnleshhot playground, to an improvised group interview with Anker in focus. Suddenly, as the moderator I decided to make a recording of this, to se how it turned out.
So grateful to all these fine people for taking their late evening time to help me testing this, technically as well as socially!

Thank you for your comment in my CAE blog. My students will be delighted to read it! I'll be meeting them next Tuesday, so I guess they'll visit yours....;-)
One very interesting thing: Mr Anker Rasmussen`s photo...., it grabbed my attention, since my hubby is Hector Hjalmar Rasmussen, whose ancestors came from Denmark and whose looks are pretty similar to the gentleman in the photo !!!!
I guess there must be hundreds of people with that surname in your place, but the impression I had when I saw it was strong!
Thank you for sharing your experience, I'll tell you about ours in a next posting, just wanted to comment about this coincidence ...
Love and congrats on your work!
Rita
This is crazy! Rasmussen is a very common family name in Denmark; our two last state ministers, Poul Nyrop Rasmussen and Anders Fogh Rasmussen are just examples of this. But who knows - this is a small world indeed. I'll see Anker again on Monday on Skype and Horizon Wimba for training before his Nordic Voice session - and I'll definitely ask him :-)
in case your husband knows more about his Danish ancestors, we might help him track them. There exists a database about people who have immigrated from Denmark, and I did a search for the match Rasmussen Argentina - apparently more than a hundred people with this very common family name did this major leap in their life!
