Sus Nyrop :: Blog :: Google reader versus Bloglines

December 14, 2006

Started using Google reader some weeks ago, and i like it better than good old Bloglines.Perhaps by the simple fact that I have by now info overload in the hundreds of feeds I've subscribed to in my Bloglines account. But also because of a much simpler instant overview of my feeds. Only irritation was that a few days ago, I lost my feeds temporarily  in Google reader, and it has been quite  unstable since then: But I managed to get over with this problem, and started to import each feed manually, instead of using a shortcut button in Mozilla 2.0 browser  -as this feature was driving me mad, my Google homepage choice was just overriding the more obvious on, namely Add this feed to my - yes indeed - my Google Feed reader.

I've created an Export  OPML file from GR to Bloglines, a simple import/export procedure. Just open the file in the browser window, copy the text and paste in into a Notepaddocument, save as a text file, give it a bane you can remember, and open your  Blogliens account, scroll down to the menu where it says import. Now all I have to do is awaiting Bloglines updating the feed, in an  hour or more...
