We fix the worktop and skirting.
We fix the dado panelling.
We install the capping and skirting.
We assemble the wardrobe.
We fix the plinth blocks and architrave.
We fit battens and the shelf.
We fit the doors and fillers.
We fix the cornice to the knotty-pine ceiling.

Day 40: We cut 600mm rips from a sheet of chipboard for the built-up worktop. The combination mitre saw is being used in the background.
![]() The timber lining is being assembled ![]() and then fixed. ![]() We install rounds for the T&G dado panelling. ![]() We cut 150mm rips of masonite for the skirting for the U-shaped kitchen.

The spindle, combination planer, and circular saw are old but still serviceable. Buy good equipment and it lasts for life. This equipment has lasted several lifetimes.

Timber skirting, cornice, cope and stile for the doors. We have started to fix a type of astragal to the shopfront to create panels.
