LifeWork Planner and ePortfolios

Brief description

Moved or to be moved - see note in profile.

Introduction

6/16/2006 - I've created LifeWork Planning Services (LWPS) (powered by Elgg) and have moved (or will move) these communities to it.

I define LifeWork is the totality of an individual’s existence, with nothing left out. There are, however, a superset of important LifeWork activities that, when properly managed, contribute to an individual’s well-being and quality of life, as well as those around them. Foremost, is finding one’s Voice, helping others to find theirs, and achieving this while maintaining a LifeWork balance.

This community will focus on discussions about the visioning, development and integration of a LifeWork Planner application and ePortfolios. The sister community "About Your LifeWork Plan" is a weblog to discuss LifeWork topics and issues.

LifeWork Planner is an application I envision that will include ePortfolio functions offered by Elgg as well as other applications that assist a person in organizing and managing all important aspects of their life and work.

Below, starting with the Elgg Development community at the base, and ending with About Your LifeWork Plan at the top are all the communities and a few forums that will have some impact on the development of my vision of a LifeWork Planner.

Discuss any aspect of your LWP as though it existed. If you have a concern about the application/system, discuss it in the LifeWork Planner and ePortfolios community below.
Discuss LWP – the application/system and its functions.
Several topics about LifeWork Planner in this NCDA Forums (NF) forum.
Several topics about ePortfolios in this NF forum.
Discuss what and how CD elements are integrated into ePs and LWP.
Discuss any CD issue or topic.
This is a very key issue. Discuss how all ePs will work together and interoperate.
Propose and discuss feature requests.
Discuss Elgg development.

Elgg-based weblog communities provide a relatively unstructured and free-form virtual space to e-share and e-colloborate. Sometimes it is useful to have a hierarchical structure to provide a context. When that is appropriate, I will either add that structure to the community sidebars or I will post to topics in NCDA Forums (NF) and provide cross-links.
