Ken Gooding

About

I am the coordinator of online learning development at Chisholm Institute in Melbourne, Australia. I lead a small team of dedicated designers and educators who are assisting teaching staff develop new and innovative ways of creating learning opportunities. I have managed the development of a number of Australian Flexible Learning Toolbox projects which have used scenario based learning principles as their learning and instructional model.

The social contexts in which online learning occurs has been identified by a number of researchers as one of the factors that has the greatest influence on learners either taking up online learning or reaching a satisfactory outcome. I have worked over the past 2 years on investigating teaching and learning strategies that can improve the soicial contexts in which students learn online.
