Hello Karl,
Good luck with your new Weblog. I first saw your site in late December or early in January but can't remember where I found it on the web. You might be interested to know that I'm a healthcare IT consultant specializing in data mining software development that is customized for each customer. I have a long history of working in healthcare and most of it was with Philips Medical. I've been called the "father of filmless imaging" by my former co-workers since I designed radiology and cardiology filmless PACS systems for Philips. Do you have PACS(Picture Archiving and Communications System) at your hospital and where is your hospital located?

Hello Again Karl,
I just looked at my list of Sectra PACS Sites and your hospital is listed as a Sectra PACS location. I worked with Sectra here in the USA to design a PACS for U.S. hospitals using Sectra software. The first Philips/Sectra PACS was designed in 1996. Thought you would be interested in the additional information. I retired from Philips Medical in 2001.

Hi Bob,
thank you for the information and the update1

Hi Karl,
Since ELGG and Delatadigital are educational websites with a healthcare informatics segment I'm willing to help novices in understanding the paradigm shift that is taking place in healthcare through digitizing of health data and images since I was a former Picture and Archiving Commuinications System(PACS) designer and now a healthcare IT consultant doing customized data mining solutions in legacy databases for healthcare enterpises. Should this educational effort be here or on ELGG?

Hi Bob,
as you may have seen from my links my main interest is Open Dource Software as defined by the Open Source Initiative. How is your experience with OSS? Do you know any OSS PACS Systems?
Cheers
Karl
Hi Karl,
I been busy with my healthcare IT business but wanted to get back to you. Yes, I am aware of the Open Source Initiative but it is to general in nature when you are focusing on PACS. Here are some websites you should look at:

Hi Karl,
Today, I noticed that the last e-mail link in my previous post does not work properly when you go to the web site and click on "here". To get to the intended web site please add "rayUK.php3" after "raynux/".
Best Wishes,

I had done a search using my first name which happens to be Karloy, and I was surprised when your name came up on a "simple machines" forum and also on this weblog. I have never seen another with the same name, so I couldn't resist e-mailing when I saw the name, Karloy.
My name is Karloy Galstad, and I live in Plymouth, Wisconsin, USA. I have a website listed below
