Implementing Elgg in HE

This community has been created to discuss issues relating to implementing ELGG within HE. The University of Brighton is planning a major roll-out of ELGG during the Summer '06 and this community acts as a focus not simply for Brighton staff to discuss issues but also to share those issues with others and allow others to contribute experience, ideas and tips. So, please don't be put off by the Brighton-emphasis here, we hope what develops through this community will help further the discussions around implementing ELGG across the sector.

This community is primarily interested in:

1) Implementing Elgg in an HE context and at a wide scale
2) Considering the potential of Personal Learning Environments, the use of Elgg as a foundation for these and how these may affect both learning and teaching within the university
3) Considering the community aspects of Elgg and how we can use these to foster both social and learning communities across the institution and beyond and how our implementation can help foster the developments of such communities
