Elgg seems to offer potential for doing new and interesting things as an online community of health informaticians and without the restrictions that (sometimes sensibly, sometimes not) are imposed by formal organisations.

I am still thinking about some of twhat we might do, but a couple of ideas to start off:
- explore ways in whcih the various online tools might be used
- create an open access repository of health informatics educational materials that can be shared among members.

All other ideas welcome.
