I've decided to revisit elgg (the new Eduspaces), and take a look at how I can best use this space. So far, so good. I like the way it works, but I'm not so sure about the new presentations feature. I'd like to find someone who uses this to see an example of how it works as it sounds great in theory.

OK everyone, here's what I'd like you to do for Assignment 3:

As you all know, we have our last face-to-face session tomorrow, in Sala Luis Espinal, from 9.00 - 12.00.

This is your opportunity to give a short presentation about an aspect of Catalan culture that you have become interested in while you have been here.

Related to this, I'd like everyone to take notes and to write a reaction / comments about 3 of the presentations that you see. What did you find interesting about it, what is your opinion of what was presented, etc.

That's all. Please let me know if you have any questions about this.

OK everybody - I know it's been a while, and I promised to tell you the address and name of that restaurant, but time flies, as I'm sure you all know.

The restaurant in la Barceloneta which is really a 'casa de comidas' (lower category than restaurant), but which serves incredibly fresh fish at wonderful prices is:

Casa MaƱo, Calle Baluard

It's near the market. They have their own boat and go out at night to catch what they can. They serve what they find in the restaurant, so it's totally fresh.

First of all, apologies to everyone for not repsponding to your blog entries quicker - I'm catching up tonight, and hope to reply to everyone.

I've been having fun reading what you've all been up to, and I'm sorry I haven't managed to find/remember the address / name of that fabulous seafood restaurant in the Barceloneta yet - I will get it for you.

I hope most of you have seen by now that the first assignment has been posted - go to the Catalan Culture group and look at the weblog, and you'll see it.

Please respond to this soon as we can then move on.

It does sound like you're all having a great time (apart from some mishaps and the regretable robbery of course) - may you continue to have a fab time, and I look forward to reading more about your exploits.

I only wish we'd had more time to know each other f2f (face to face)as you sound like a cool group of students. Ah well, you can't have everything in life, can you?

This week (Sept 30th - October 12th) at the fountains of Mont Juic, you'll find the Boulevard of Broken Dreams, a theatre company that have been in Barcelona three times now. It's a great and original thing to visit, and you'll find there'll be small and wacky theatre and cabaret acts as well as food and drink, in a circus-travelling show tpye environment.

Go along and see it - you won't be disappointed.
