Well, I can't say much about the camera-work (they drop it in the first 30 seconds), but here's a video of me discussing my research at CGU using Elgg.

Hey All;

I built a vb.net tool to help be see how people moving around our Elgg installation. It's dirt simple & rather inefficient, but seems to do a decent job organizing apache's logs.  I'm posting it in my files for anyone who's interested in using it to view their own installation's usage history.  Please view the readme.txt for instructions on getting it setup.

On another note, today's President's Day, and I'm using the 3-day weekend to finish up v.5 of the wiki plugin.  I'm much happier with the activity page, and think that it's a definite improvement over the last version.

Well, I have the plug-in generally working with .673, only to find some more stuff broke when putting it on v.7 of Elgg.  Sigh...  I have a presentation tomorrow that I really haven't even begin to prep for yet, so Elgg will have to wait a bit.

On an upbeat note, I got around 25+ hours in over the weekend & in the morning, so a lot has been done.  I really feel like my programming has improved a lot since the last time I looked at the code.  The global RSS stuff has been completely refactored in a very cool way with criteria as arrays. I think that I'm going to break down & ask Ben to put together code for tags (he did volunteer after all... ;-).  Most of the major lifting for functionality has been fixed, we're done to bug fixing now. Hello all;

Well, it's been a while since the last update, but I've finally managed to pull together the next version of the folio plugin.  I've made a bunch of improvements over the last one, mainly in the area of providing feeds.  The software now automatically creates a frontpage showing people's activities, creates an 'inbox' and 'friends & communities' section, and provides a unified & authenticated RSS section.  The wiki stuff is mainly the same, not many updates there except for the addition of tags.  The attached file is a beta release, as I'm hoping the ben or dave will help me out with the search tags code hooks into Elgg.  I'm sure that there are a couple of bugs / quirks in this code, but anyone testing it out will be greatly appreciated.  I've spent the weekend working on cleaning it up, so it should be working pretty well.

All in all, I've very happy with the recent updates that I've made.  While I haven't concentrated as much on getting the phpdoc tags proper, I really think that my coding style has greatly improved since I started this project.  I went thru the code to see how many lines we're currently at, and I'm pretty close to 6,000 LOC.  Fairly good for a weekend project!

As always, please refer to the /folio/readme.txt instructions for getting it setup.  Please post questions in this blog post...

Hey folks;

One of the helpful people downloading the v.5 version of my plug-in has reported that Kaspersky found a virus in one of the files.  I can't yet duplicate the report with Panda, Norton, or AVG, but just in case, please delete all of the files in mod/folio from your computers.  This shouldn't cause any uninstall problems with your servers, reloading the plug-in won't kill any data.

I'll repost when I can either confirm or deny the problem. If anyone else gets this message, please let me know.

Well, Kaspersky was the only antivirus thinking that the plug-in contained a virus, even after checking with Panda, Norton, AVG, and ClamAV (thanks Sven).  Just to be safe, I went ahead and purchased it and told it to clean up my system.  I re-posted the folio add-in in my files, so they're safe to download & install.  Please let me know if anyone has further difficulties.
