Professor Erica McWilliam is an internationally recognised scholar in the field of pedagogical studies. She uses cutting edge ideas from Education, Social Sciences and the Creative Industries to investigate how best to prepare young people for creative work futures at a time of social flux.
Erica is curently a Carrick Institute Associate Fellowship (Developing pedagogical models for building creative workforce capacities in undergraduate students) and leader of the Creative Workforce research program within the QUT-led ARC Centre of Excellence for Creativity and Innovation. She is the sole editor of ‘Eruptions’, an interdisciplinary academic series with Peter Lang Publishing, New York)
Erica's prolific publication profile is evidenced in 7 books (2 sole-authored) in 10 years, and 3 monographs, 7 book chapters, 23 refereed journal articles and 14 refereed conference papers in the last 5 years (Importantly, these publications show her long term capacity to engage with ideas beyond education in the interest of forging new fields of transdisciplinary scholarship.)
