I think the list of things that can be done which I gave is far from complete. I welcome any further additions to the list (and probably should have asked for them.)
Continuing to stay tuned into the problems as they unfold, escalate or shrink is important and I addressed that in an email this week. I'd also like to suggest that everyone join their neighborhood association (start by finding out which one you should join.) Go to

There are a number of other ways to become involved. Some of us will run for office or participate in campaigns. Some of us may continue to "blog" and share our views more broadly with others as part of efforts to correct the lack of balance in our current media.
If you have other ideas, please share.

I see Hunger and Poverty as a very serious problem in our society and the world. I see it in the county I live in. I see the people around me who have hardly any money for anything and the choices thtat they have to make to survive. children growing up unhealthy and not eating right. The eldrly not being able to afford their medications because they have to chose between eating and buying their medication. This makes me so sad and mad. I had a family that lives close by and for Thanksgiving they were going to only be able to buy a chicken. I made them their Thanksgiving Dinner and delivered it to them. I felt so bad for them and the people out here who I know can not afford to even eat.
I see the problem getting worse instead of better. With gas prices so high and groceries going up everyday, people will never get out of poverty.
We can help by contacting our government representatives and deeping on them to help. We can also educate others on how bad these problems are. We all need to do are part in the matter. Just suggesting certain htings is not enough. We nee to get off our fannies and do somthing for our people who are suffeirng with these problems in uor own state and our country.

I see hunger and poverty as a very serious social problem in our society and around the world. I see people everywhere that are struggling to make it everyday. I don't even know what they go through to make it through each day, but it must be very difficult because they have nothing. I see this problem as getting worse unless the government steps in and takes the time to focus on and start solving the problems of hungry people on the street and poor people who can barely make it through each day. Individuals can write a government representative about their concern alleviate the problem. They can also talk to others about the problem and start deciding on ways to solve the problem slowly, but effectively. Eventually, I think the problem of hunger and poverty could become better, but I don't think it will ever be completely resolved.
