In my oppinion people in power do not see our problem as a social problem. They would believe that it is a person blame. People will see that poverty and hunger happens in others countries and see that as a social problem but I don't think they believe tht we have the same problem here in our own country. When do you see many people with power or money come to a poor part of a town or rural area. Not very often if at all. So only the people in the situation are the ones who are going to agree that Hunger And Poverty are a Social Problem.

I don't think that people in power positions in the government and businesses in the U.S. see hunger and poverty as a problem or issue that defines our society. Hunger and poverty are viewed as serious social problems around the world, this uses the person-blame approach most often. People who are in power tend to blame the poor for their problems even though they have nothing to do with their problems, instead of focusing on the cause and affect of these issues on society. I think that everyone would agree that hunger and poverty are social problems. If you have something to lose-people in power won't feel the same they don't think there is ever anything to lose because they are not in the situation of hunger and poverty so they don't even begin to understand why it is such a serious social problem, otherwise they would do everything in their power to make poverty and hunger less of a social problem.

I believe that poverty and hunger are a major issue in New Mexico. I think it is one of the many states that I've lived in that has the most people I've ever seen living in poverty and on the streets. I feel that this is a major issue due to the fact that the government does not provide enough resources to feed and shelter those who suffer from poverty and hunger. I have discovered that New Mexico has very little organizations that can give food to those who are poor or have nothing like the food pantry for instance. People are also limited in getting food stamps or welfare. Resources are limited today for those who suffer from poverty and hunger. The government should take drastic measures to try and resolve the entire poverty and hunger issue because it is a major problem around the world that needs to be resolved.
