I found my information from The Power to end Hunger Results. You can get it on line at Http://www.org/website/article.asd?id=350. The article mentions that the minimum wage has not been raised since 1997. The number of people without health insurance rose by 8000,000 in 2004 to 45.8 million. Many factors contribute to hte persistance of hunger and povery in this nation, including low wages, lack of access to saftey-net programs like child care and Food Stamps, inability to take advantage of most tax benefits aimed at middle- and upper-income households, and a lack of opportunity to accumulate savings and other assests.

Yes I believe that the refernce I found is reasonable. And I believe that it does support the notion that the problem assigned to me is really a problem.

I was reading on the internet about poverty and hunger and I found out that many people want to solve the world hunger issue. Poverty leads to hunger in all cases. World hunger is one symptom of poverty around the world. Most of us don't even think about the issue of poverty and hunger most of the time even though it exists everyday and is an everyday issue for so many people around the world. Some people in the U.S. make so much money that it is no object and they are wasteful with food. They don't even realize that they are wasting or spending money on materialistic things because they have always had them. Whereas, people around the world who suffer from poverty and hunger would do anything for just a warm place to sleep and a warm meal to eat everyday.
