Dekita.elgg :: Blog :: Hanging my hammock

June 27, 2005

Hey there!

I have just arrived. Brought some food and red Chilean Carmenere wine if you would care for some later on.
Nice trees around...let me hang my hammock...please look before you sit, my guitar is gently weeping inside. Beautiful landscape...going for a walk.

  1. I enjoy Chilean Wine. One of my favorites is called Casillero del Diablo, a very bold and spicy cabernet sauvignon - huge wine.

    Do you really have a hammock? I'd like to get one of those, but would have no where to hang it.

  2. I also love Chilean wine and Casillero is one we often buy but we usually drink it in winter here as it is much heavier (and headier) than the Argentinian wine.
    I have a white cotton cross woven hammock with long fringes I bought in the Northeast of Brazil. I usually hook it between two terrace columns or under the trees in the countryside. I used to have hooks on two walls in my flat but now we changed the decoration. If you have no walls, columns or trees around you can always use a hammock stand or buy a hammock chair

  3. Hi Bee and Aaron,

    I used to have a rocking chair! That was my preferred place to sit and read, or listen to music. It was also an excellent palce to sit for feeding my babies. We used it up! It broke down completely one day when the kids were playing with it, and it could not be mended succesfully - it was but a cheap model.

    Some day I would like to get a rocking chair again, for those lazy relaxed hours...

  4. Ahh...a rockin' chair...reminds me of my Southern roots. We used to have one too, which permanently had toothmarks on the ends of the rocking tracks from a German Shepard who decided to sharpen his teeth on them.
