Invention Model or Presentation<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 2. Personal Blog and/or Leonardo's Scrap Book <br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 3. Class Dialogues and Class Participation<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 4. One Page Essay <br /></div><p><br /><strong><br />1. Multi-media Presentation:</strong><br /></p><p align="center">How is 1.618&hellip; related to the pattern 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13&hellip;?<br />You will find out! </p><p>Forget about pi&hellip; there is a whole new world out there with Fibonacci and Phi. See how brilliant minds of the Renaissance (and the Middle Ages) used these patterns in Science, art, architecture and music. </p><p>Discover patterns in nature that show up everywhere! Explore Phi in the human body, by looking at your face, your fingers or your heartbeat. Find patterns in Nature by examining seashells, flowers, leafs or animals. Or look into space to see patterns in the location of the planets in the Solar System or in Saturn&rsquo;s rings.</p><p>Discover interesting relationships between number patterns, the natural, and human-made world we live in. </p><div align="center"><strong>Design a project that incorporates any of the above topics that interests you.</strong></div><div align="center">&nbsp;</div><p>Create a multimedia presentation that explores your personal learning around Phi. The choices are endless, take a journey of discovery from the Renaissance to modern times&hellip; focusing in on the patterns that interest you.<br />Projects must be approved by Mr. Truss.<br /><br /><strong>2. Personal Blog or Leonardo's Scrap Book </strong>(...Leonardo of Pisa for this project)<br /><br />Create your own blog or scrap book of ideas.<br />Some suggestions for items to put in your Blog/Scrap Book include:<br />Thoughts about da Vinci, plans for inventions, visual observations, drawings,<br />artwork, notes about nature, favorite quotes or ideas, letters, magazine cut-outs,<br />unique ideas,&nbsp; plans or supply list for your Renaissance project, other unique ideas.<br /><br />Either use your personal blog as your Scrap Book<br />Or, if you rather put pencil to paper,<br />You will be given a 11 x 17 inch page, to be folded as instructed.<br /><br /><strong>3. Class Dialogues/ Class Participation</strong><br /><br />Thoughtfully participate in the on-line Dialogues.<br />( AMclassDialogues, PMclassDialogues, and/or PhiNotPiDialogues )<br />You are required to: Ask questions; Answer questions; Share your learning; Plan your project; and Reflect on the process of learning.<br />Also considered:<br />Class participation and involvement with daily activities.<br />Good, consistent use of time, materials, and resources.<br />Co-operation with teacher, group members and other students.<br /><br /><br /><strong>4. One Page Essay</strong><br /><br />You will be required to:<br />Write one full typed page, single spaced.<br />Hand in your rough draft(s), and show editing and revision work.<br />Follow the criteria given.<br />Be clear, detailed and concise.<br />Demonstrate good mechanics, (grammar, spelling and punctuation).<br />&nbsp;</p>]]></description>
