Thanks, Chris, for sharing this video reminder about how important the journey is.  Teaching to the test, which teachers are being forced to do more and more, is about the destination, that empty bag of promises in Alan Watts' cartoon. Our biggest challenge is to find creative ways to engage our students, nonetheless, given the restraits imposed upon us to data drive our art. It feels like we are expected to teach, as if we are painting by the numbers, the end product being a fine piece of work.

3. This made me think about the quote I hear alot, "are we preparing students for their future or our past".  I now want to add, are we teaching them how to enjoy and value their present?
