Elgg User Meetup in Texas next week...

Bugs and broken bits reports

I thought it might be useful to have a thread dedicated to reporting things we find that don't work so all the info and feedback is in one place. Probably best to keep 'wish list' type items elsewhere so as not to muddy the waters here but there is likely to be some overlap. Anyway, here's a couple to kick off with:

1. I have just discovered an area under my 'Your Network' tab for invitations received to join communities. http://eduspaces.net/terry/communities/invitations. Is this new? I found an invitation there that I did not know about. Could or should invitations issued in this way generate a notification in some way, say via email?

2. When listing 'View all posts' and selecting the 'with comments' filter you only get one screen full. If you click on the 'back' link which would be better as 'previous' the next page produces a 'page cannot be found' message. I think this is a known problem.

No sweat. Life goes on. Just thought it would be useful to collect these things.

What should be considered blended learning? Is there a more comprehensive way to define blended learning than Sloan C's use of "seat time?" Should an instructor's use of technology in course design contribute to the definition of blended learning? Following up on the general announcement and a personal post, one of the things we will be doing is getting back the focus on the individual user and the community as a central point for shared interests and topics. This brand new Eduspaces Central community has been created to discuss issues related to the eduspaces service, but more importantly about educational issues in general. All site members are automatically member of this community and are welcome to join in the discussion. If there is a community you maintain yourself, use this spaces to link back, if you'd like.

I know many would like to see the discussion forum reinstalled we had running for some time, but I look forward seeing how this will shape up!
